Who We Are
Diego De Vivero
President and Head of Research
I am a second-year student at UofT pursuing an Economics major and two minors, in Statistics and Mathematics. I am highly interested in macroeconomics, econometrics, and finance, and our work at FICC group is the perfect intersection of these three fields. I am very excited to apply my knowledge of financial markets, economic fundamentals, and statistical methods to our practical research, and to simultaneously learn from the excellent people we have on the team, as well as from our projects themselves.
Tanvi Bisht
President and Advisor to Directors
I am currently a second-year student at the University of Toronto, pursuing a major in Computer Science and Economics, with a minor in Statistics. I have a deep-seated passion for coding, especially when it involves innovative projects that intersect the realms of finance and technology. In my role as the President and Advisor to Directors of the FICC Group, I'm thrilled to combine my academic pursuits with real-world applications, bridging the gap between financial markets and cutting-edge technology. This blend of interests and skills drives my commitment to leading and inspiring our team towards achieving new heights in our field.
Eli Mueller
External Director
I am currently a second-year student studying economics and public policy at UTSG. In addition to being a University of Toronto Scholar and a Vic One Pearson inductee, I am extremely passionate about econometrics. In my role as External Director, I am responsible for overseeing the publication and dissemination of club materials, along with managing other public facing operations for the club.
Abby Nayeri
Head of Strategy Validation
I am a second-year Physics Specialist at UofT. As the Head of Strategy Validation at FICC, I focus on rigorously assessing and refining our strategic approaches. My academic background in Physics aids in applying a data-driven approach to understanding market dynamics and financial instruments. By blending scientific thinking with financial acumen I aim to enhance our club’s initiatives and drive innovation in our strategies.
Zakari Chauhan
Research Analyst
I am a second-year student majoring in political science at the University of Toronto. Amid my academic pursuits in political science, I have taken an active role as a research analyst at FICC, where I pragmatically apply my political science knowledge within the finance sector. Alongside my academic and professional interests, I am deeply committed to boxing and fitness. Being a strong communicator and analytical thinker, I am ready and enthusiastic to contribute significantly to both my academic and extracurricular pursuits.
